Arisunime –– Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle grossed 2.457 billion yen (approximately 16.75 million US dollars) from 1.739 million tickets sold during its third weekend from August 1-3, According to data from Kogyo Tsushin-sha cited by Crunchyroll, the gross revenue for the third weekend dropped by 21% from the second weekend, but it was sufficient to maintain the film’s top position at the Japanese box office for three consecutive weeks.

Meanwhile, according to an official announcement from the Demon Slayer X account @kimetsu_off on August 4, 2025, the film has accumulated a gross revenue of 17,639,557,600 yen (approximately 120 million USD) with a total of 12,558, 582 tickets sold within 17 days since its release in Japan on July 18, and represents 112% of the three-week gross revenue of the previous film released in 2020, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, as previously reported, Infinity Castle has broken the record for a Japanese film that quickly reached the 10 billion mark.

Here are the top 10 highest-grossing films of all time in Japan

Inifnity Castle is the only Japanese animated film to make it into the top 10 last weekend, while Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Taboo NIGHT XXX dropped out of the top 10 in its 13th week. The film had previously entered the top 10 in its 13th week.***
