
Arisunime — Akane-banashi, based on the manga by Hiroaki Suenaga and illustrated by Takamasa Bajo, has been announced to receive a TV anime adaptation and is scheduled to air in 2026.
The visual teaser, promotional video, character visuals, cast, and staff have all been released simultaneously.

Akane-banashi tells the story of Akane Sakurazaki, a young girl captivated by her father’s magical rakugo tales at a young age, who later embarks on a career as a rakugo performer. The manga is currently serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has been published in 17 volumes.
In the anime, Akane is voiced by Anna Nagase, Takuya Eguchi as Renmaya Karashi, and Rie Takashi as Takaragi Hikaru.
The anime is produced by studio Zexxs and directed by Ayumu Watanabe, with Kikuhiko Hayashiya serving as the rakugo supervisor.***
