Synopsis Anne Shirley
Anne Shirley tells the story of an eleven-year-old orphan who has spent her life moving from one foster family to another, where she is known as Anne Shirley.
Anne always hoped to find a place that truly suited her. When she was sent to live with her elderly siblings, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, at Green Gables, a peaceful farm in the town of Avonlea, it turned out that she had ended up there by accident.
After expecting a boy who could help with the farm, the Cuthbert family was surprised to find a young girl with a sharp imagination and a dramatic flair.
Though the Cuthberts were initially hesitant, Anne’s energy, intelligence, and charm soon won them over. Anne adapted to her new life, experiencing many things for the first time, such as going to school and forming close friendships, while continuing to learn how to navigate the joys and sorrows of growing up.***
