Arisunime — The upcoming sequel series, Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers, has released a revised teaser trailer, hinting at additional heroic characters for the series. The unnamed characters have only been revealed in silhouette form so far, with only their voice actors’ initials announced. The anime is set to air in January 2026.
Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers is a sequel to the 1988-1989 TV anime Samurai Troopers. Yoichi Fujita is directing the new series at Sunrise. Shogo Muto is handling the series composition, Yuhei Murota is handling the character designs, Hideo Okamoto is handling the armor designs, and Shuji Katayama is handling the music.

Long ago, there was an evil spirit that waged war to conquer the human world. Defeated, it was driven back into the realm of darkness, but it swore to return and seek revenge. A thousand years later, the world had nearly forgotten the name Arago, the Emperor of Disaster. When dark clouds obscured the glittering lights of Shinjuku City, and evil laughter drowned out the dying hum of electricity, the people of the world were overcome with fear, unprepared to face the return of that evil spirit!
